Who Are We?

Kalimat كلمات is an audio-based podcast series that explores the human experience through reflective interviews with self-leaders from all walks of life. Created and hosted by Shaharbano Khan, each episode offers personal insights into the shared Journey to Self, inviting listeners into a more thoughtful and conscious relationship with both themselves and the world around them.

Meet Your Host

Shaharbano Khan is a social entrepreneur whose work explores the complexities of the human condition. Raised between Riyadh and Kuala Lumpur, she developed an early awareness of cultural nuance and the layered nature of identity formation.

Her creative journey began with photography and design, shaped by intuition and a sharp eye for meaning. This early foundation was later deepened through years of martial arts training, which instilled discipline, introspection, and mental clarity. Now based in Lahore and reading law, she continues her inquiry through writing and social audio, engaging with questions of society, interior life, and the observed self.

In 2022, she founded Kalimat كلمات, a platform that evolved from private practice into a space for shared learning. Her work rests on the premise that self-knowledge is not merely a personal endeavour, but a social imperative: how we come to understand ourselves shapes how we live, lead, and connect. Behind every outward role lies the lifelong responsibility of becoming who one truly is.

What People Are Saying

  • Few people are able to lead with such warmth. Shaharbano’s interviews at Kalimat كلمات unwrap like personal letters. They linger not just in the mind, but somewhere quieter, where self-reflection begins.

  • Kalimat is, to my mind, a rare tour de force. With its astutely curated narratives, it consistently transcends the ordinary, each episode unfolding as a masterclass in thought, intellect, and eloquence. The production, too, is exemplary: textured, deliberate, and sonically elegant. In an age of the transient and trivial, it is, without question, essential listening for those who cherish meaningful discourse.

  • There’s something about Kalimat كلمات that makes you feel spoken to, not as an audience, but as a person. The episodes are raw and somehow both simple and deep at the same time. It’s become a space I return to when I need questions for self.
